San José parish goes to the Philippines

We’ve had parishes travel to San Francisco, Tijuana, and New Orleans this summer to build homes and bring hope to people in need. But I think the parish of Saint Francis of Assisi wins the prize for traveling the farthest to put their faith into practice. Fr. John Sandersfeld and a dozen parishioners of Saint Francis of Assisi traveled across the Pacific to the Philippines in January to visit the village where their parish is helping to build at least 35 homes for those who lost homes in recent typhoons. Freddy Guevara’s wrote about the trip here. Congratulations to the parish of Saint Francis of Assisi and their pastor!
