It includes the color of the day, the liturgy of the hours week, list of readings, synopses of readings, prefaces, special diocesan observances, and saints' bios for each day of the year. Ordos are compiled for each ecclesiastical province. (An ecclesiastical province is a way of grouping of dioceses under the jurisdiction of an archdiocese.
