Fifteen delegates from our diocese participated in the first national Encuentro for Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry which took place this summer on the campus of Notre Dame in Indiana. “Encuentro” means “encounter” or “meeting.” This encounter didn’t just happen in August but began a year and a half before with young people gathering first for diocesan-wide encuentros then regional-wide encuentros throughout the United States to discuss issues that are vital to the future of the Church.
